Why is media training necessary?
The sports media world used to be simple. There were three major television networks, ABC, NBC and CBS. There were one or two newspapers in each major market and a handful of radio sports talk shows.

Then came ESPN, CNN and Fox. ESPN changed the sports landscape forever. CNN delivered news and sports 24 hours a day. Fox arrived with regional affiliates in a majority of big league markets. Later, CNBC and MSNBC appeared.
